Crave Real Burgers has opened a new location at Town Center in Highlands Ranch. I’ve previously reviewed their Castle Rock location, so I thought I’d give this location a try (much closer to my house).
The Baroness and I split two burgs: The Colorado (80/20 beef patty topped with shredded lamb, poblanos, onions, pepper jack, avocado, chipotle mayo and tomato) and the Drunken Onion (cabernet caramelized onions, Gruyere, Swiss, onion strings, and French onion soup for dipping).
The Colorado was quite good. Great bun, and lamb is just a great meat when prepared correctly. The Drunken Onion was overcooked and dry.
As I’ve mentioned before, Crave is a great toppings restaurant. Their beef is nominal, somewhat overcooked, and not too tasty. But you hardly notice, since the toppings are generally quite good and well thought out.
You could do worse than Crave…here’s a few pics. (Sorry the first one is blurry, I was generously given some money recently and just bought one of these. Don’t know how to use it quite yet…)
